Funtimes Kaiju
I grew up on Saturday afternoon monster matinees, sitting on my grandpa’s lap watching Tokyo get trashed as Godzilla, Mothra, Mecha-G, Hedorah and more dooked it out to be king of the monsters.
This ongoing poster series pays tribute to my love of childhood and my numero-uno monster man, Godzilla.
Based on the Showa era, my Funtime Kaiju are a nod to that time when Big G and his buddies were more kid friendly and silly instead of serious and scary. The combination of bright colors and childish fun is exactly what these movies mean to me.
